A HEART FOR WISDOM

Our Mission in Education

We desire to fill a need for a better school system in our Province of Takeo, Cambodia. To better educate the children at A Greater Hope Orphanage is our first goal, educating the surrounding the children is our second goal, changing our community and country final goal. Our teaching starts with understanding that "Fearing the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, only fools despise wisdom and discipline". "Then you will understand what is Right and Just and Fair". "For Wisdom will enter your heart".

We'll strive for a pure teaching with high moral standards that will give our children A HEART FOR WISDOM

A Heart For Wisdom's first Easter production

We were invited to do some songs at church on the of April.
It went really well I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.  They sang song for about  15 minutes and as far as I could tell not a single line was forgotten.
 Back stage.
 Finding their places.
The church was excited and waiting to see what would take place.

SreyNygt in the center had a very good time.  Always a smile as the pageant went on.
Lisa, Ream's niece was very good and helpful to other so no one would forget their place.
You might notice the boy in Blue with the finger in his nose.
I would have preferred not to put a group photo here with him picking.  Unfortunately for every group photo I have picking is what I got.

SreyNeat was highly animated during her solo.

Most importantly the church had a great time.  They loved it, laughing at some awing at others, it simply a lot of fun for everyone I was so proud and thankful for Chanteoun's work with the children this year.

We have some fundraisers occurring from now until August if you would pray for their over whelming success.  So may people would appreciate it.

This cutey was to shy to come outside to get his picture.
I encourage you if you make it to Cambodia you should visit the orphanage and drop by the school.

Samaritan Purse shoebox

Pictures from a couple weeks ago,
when are preschoolers received a Samaritan Purse shoebox.

Soy helps out nearly every day.
Today he helped out with the morning exercises.

 coming to class
We were told the other day by a parent that they wish they could put their 5th grader in our preschool because he their 4 year old knows her alphabet and he still does not.
It might be hard for us to understand such a thing as being in 5th grade and not knowing your alphabet, but here with 55 to 60 kids in class most the children get left behind while others keep moving forward.  Last I read 45% of children will not advance beyond elementary school.

 break time
 Ready for a story

At the end of class the children received their Samaritan Purse shoe boxes and took them home.
The boxes came from South Australia this year.

The children have also been blessed to receive little gifts from guest from time to time.
Tahlia from Australia gave the children some supplies this month, erasers and note books.

Our class is up to 23.  We will take 30 and end our enrollments.
We also have a few teachers from other preschools wanting to come learn how they can improve their own classes.
