I am not one to boast, but I do like to share about what God is doing through us.
The teachers much of the work, God is using them dramatically.
Today we are over 120 students at the school. It seems like we take a new student nearly each day lately.
The great thing about the what is going on is what is being said. How I love to hear the comments coming in for all over of how we are reaching and serving our community.
I will try and post quotes frequently so you can rejoice with us.
Most recent and one of my favorite quotes is from my father in-law he was getting a haircut the people around were saying "if you want your kids to learn to read and write you need to send them to the Jesus school".
Yes, that is the reason we are here and people understand it.
Out of the 122 children 22 of them can't read or write so we had to create an extra class to get them caught up. This is a class I think that shares our care and desire to help the most. We have children from the 3rd to 6th grade in there that were pretty much on their way to nowhere, possible dropouts next year for the 6th graders, but not now.
People are telling us their child has learned more in one month than they did all last year in the public system.
The parents like for the work we are doing. Honestly it is not that we are the best so I my pride is not look at us or what we do, we've just started, but it is far better that what they had and we are touching the peoples hearts. But mostly it is God working through us He is making the difference, even if it is just the amount of love and care to try hard and give more than we get.
We really hope this translates into growth and strengthening of the church, easing their thoughts about Christians and maybe making a change themselves.
So thankful to be used in a big way. God is great.
